How does a UPI QR code work?
The QR encodes a standard UPI link (upi://pay) with your VPA, name and optional amount. When a customer scans it with any UPI app, their app opens a pre-filled payment to you so they just confirm.
Can I create an open-amount QR?
Yes. Leave the amount blank and the QR lets the payer enter any amount — useful for tips, donations or variable bills. Add an amount for a fixed charge.
Is my UPI ID safe?
A UPI ID (VPA) is safe to share — it’s designed to receive payments and can’t be used to withdraw money. The QR is generated entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to our servers.
